Android

Android is the name of Google’s operating system that powers phones from Samsung, Motorola, etc. While those companies sometimes provide their own testing tools, Google’s own tool will work across any Android phone. They call their tool the Google Device Assist app. It’s available on the Play Store for Nexus and Motorola users, but others will have to download the APK and install it manually. When you first boot the app it’ll ask you if you’re interested in basic, intermediate, or advanced mode. Choose advanced mode to access the system level features. Now that you’re in, you can view your phone’s hardware capabilities and run them through different hardware tests. The app will also automatically detect issues with your handset and offer suggestions. You can run further tests based on those suggestions to determine the root of your problem.
